A NATIONWIDE small business roadshow has arrived in Camden today, with tax cuts and simpler paperwork top of its agenda, Member for Hume and Assistant Minister Angus Taylor says.
“I am pleased to be joined today by Small Business Minister Michael McCormack to host a forum with local small businesses focused on the Coalition Government’s recent cuts in the company tax rate and expanding eligibility to instantly write-off new equipment,” Mr Taylor said.
“The Coalition Government backs small business. That’s why we have delivered with the lowest tax rate in 50 years.
“Today, Michael McCormack and I want to know what we can do to continue supporting businesses, especially small to medium enterprises – the engine room of our economy.
“Events like today’s forum are an important opportunity to get feedback, to take on board suggestions and to also explain what our Government is doing to help small business to flourish.”
Mr McCormack said the Government’s small business tax cuts will create confidence in the Camden region helping local businesses and the local economy grow while creating new employment opportunities.
“Angus Taylor and I know local economies such as Camden’s are underpinned by small businesses,” Mr McCormack said.
“Small businesspeople create jobs and opportunities for locals – and that’s why we are backing them with a tax cut to take the pressure off, so they can reinvest and grow their businesses.
“We also understand that spending money in local small businesses keeps money in local communities and continues to help create local jobs. That is why we are also encouraging local people to buy from local small businesses.
