The Hon Dr Jim Chalmers MP
Treasurer
Interview with David Speers, Insiders, ABC
DAVID SPEERS:
Jim Chalmers, welcome to the program.
JIM CHALMERS:
Good morning, David and Happy Mother's Day to all of the mums, but especially Laura, Carol, and Barbara.
SPEERS:
Post-Budget Address to Australian Chamber of Commerce, Brisbane
Thanks very much, Tony, for that introduction. And good afternoon, everybody, thanks for the opportunity to spend a Friday afternoon of Budget week with you here.
Interview with Michelle Grattan, The Conversation
MICHELLE GRATTAN:
Jim Chalmers, the economic argument about this Budget has come down to whether it will or will not add to inflation. A number of economists say it will, but you strongly reject that. Can you just take us through briefly your argument about why those economists are wrong.
JIM CHALMERS:
Interview with Sarah Harris, Waleed Aly and Sam Taunton, The Project, Channel 10
SARAH HARRIS:
Treasurer Jim Chalmers is one man who probably doesn't need answers from Waleed's budget hotline. But Treasurer, I've got to ask, what do you think of Waleed in a robe?
JIM CHALMERS:
Interview with Patricia Karvelas, RN Breakfast, ABC
PATRICIA KARVELAS:
The Treasurer, Jim Chalmers, joins me in the RN Breakfast studio. Treasurer, welcome.
JIM CHALMERS:
Nice to see you, Patricia.
KARVELAS:
Interview with Virginia Trioli, ABC Melbourne
VIRGINIA TRIOLI:
Jim Chalmers is the Federal Treasurer, and he joins me now. Good morning, Mr Chalmers.
JIM CHALMERS:
Good morning, Virginia.
TRIOLI:
In delivering a surplus, albeit one that only lasts a year, do you consider this your most significant achievement in this Budget?
Interview with Ben Fordham, 2GB
BEN FORDHAM:
Okay, let's go live to Canberra right now, because the Federal Treasurer, Jim Chalmers, is on the line. We've only got limited time with him, because he's got a busy morning. So hopefully he'll keep his answers brief, and we'll get through as many of your questions as we can.
