The Albanese Labor Government has today passed the Fairer for Families And Farmers Bill to get Australians a better deal at the checkout and back our hardworking farmers who supply to our supermarkets.

The Albanese Labor Government has passed legislation that will hold large multinationals to account on their tax affairs, protect Australians who use Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services and support the Government’s commitment to double philanthropic giving.

New numbers show monthly inflation is around a third of what we inherited at the election and around a quarter of its peak.

This is another really encouraging sign our policies are helping to get inflation down after it was higher and rising under the Liberals.

The Albanese Government has passed legislation through the Senate to help ensure multinationals pay their fair share of tax in Australia.

This delivers on our election commitment to improve tax transparency and integrity.

Today I am proud to introduce the Future Made in Australia (Production Tax Credits and Other Measures) Bill 2024.

This Bill is another major step in implementing the Albanese Labor government’s Future Made in Australia agenda, to deliver our country’s next generation of prosperity.

Today, the Albanese Labor Government has introduced legislation to expand the role and remit of Indigenous Business Australia (IBA), as part of the Future Made in Australia (Production Tax Credit and Other Measures) Bill 2024.

The Bill amends legislation to allow IBA to borrow and raise capital, boosting its ability to invest in First Nations businesses and communities.

Today the Government will introduce the Future Made in Australia (Production Tax Credit and Other Measures) Bill 2024 to Parliament, a big step in making Australia indispensable to the global net zero transformation.

The Albanese Labor Government will stop passing on debit surcharges from the ATO and Services Australia to make sure these everyday payments don’t cost Australians more from 1 January 2025.
