New numbers show monthly inflation is around a third of what we inherited at the election and around a quarter of its peak.
This is another really encouraging sign our policies are helping to get inflation down after it was higher and rising under the Liberals.

This Bill is another major step in implementing the Albanese Labor government’s Future Made in Australia agenda, to deliver our country’s next generation of prosperity.
Legislative reform to support First Nations economic empowerment
Today, the Albanese Labor Government has introduced legislation to expand the role and remit of Indigenous Business Australia (IBA), as part of the Future Made in Australia (Production Tax Credit and Other Measures) Bill 2024.
The Bill amends legislation to allow IBA to borrow and raise capital, boosting its ability to invest in First Nations businesses and communities.
Production tax incentives to help build a Future Made in Australia
Today the Government will introduce the Future Made in Australia (Production Tax Credit and Other Measures) Bill 2024 to Parliament, a big step in making Australia indispensable to the global net zero transformation.
Government acting swiftly on Commonwealth surcharges
