New foreign investment laws to boost housing supply
The Albanese Government has today introduced legislation to adjust the foreign investment framework to help boost Australia’s housing stock and provide more homes for Australians.
Higher fees for the purchase of established homes and increased penalties for those that leave properties vacant will help ensure foreign investment in residential property is in our national interest.
Government introduces legislation to deliver cost of living tax cuts
Today the Albanese Government has introduced legislation to implement our cost‑of‑living tax cuts for middle Australia.
This legislation is all about delivering a tax cut for every taxpayer, and more tax relief for more people to help with the cost‑of‑living.

Government launches ACCC inquiry into supermarket prices
The Albanese Government has formally issued a direction to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to investigate pricing and competition in the supermarket sector to ensure Australians are paying a fair price for their groceries.
