Release of News Media Bargaining Code Review
The Albanese Government has released the final report of Treasury’s statutory review into the News Media Bargaining Code.
The review found that in the first year of the News Media Bargaining Code more than 30 commercial agreements were made between digital platforms, Google and Meta, and a cross section of news businesses.
Expanded CDR legislation to make online tasks safer and easier
The Albanese Government is committed to helping Australians better manage rising costs.
Consumers and small businesses deserve to have their data working for them, safely and securely, to get the best deals.
That’s why the Government has introduced legislation in the Parliament to expand the functionality of the Consumer Data Right (CDR).
