The Albanese Government will strengthen the Food and Grocery Code of Conduct, accepting all recommendations of a recent independent review into the Code as part of a wide‑ranging cost‑of‑living crackdown on anti‑competitive behaviour in the food and grocery sector.

I must admit I had to blink twice, and I said this earlier, when I saw that on CHOICE research with a bunch of mystery shoppers going to Coles, Woolies and Aldi, that the ACT was the cheapest for an average grocery shop for 14 common items as they’re called.
Supermarket price monitoring to help Australians make informed choices at the checkout
The Albanese Government today welcomes the release of CHOICE’s first quarterly report into supermarket prices.
This is about making our supermarkets as competitive as they can be so Australians get the best prices possible.
Australians are under cost‑of‑living pressure, and we know that a lot of that pressure is piled on at the cash register.
