Jobs in small business surge ahead under the Abbott Government

Statistics released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics on 29 June 2015 revealed the Abbott Government has overseen a period where the number of jobs in small business has increased by 146,000. This is in stark contrast to the almost half a million jobs lost in small business under the Rudd Gillard Rudd Government.

In addition to this great news for the hard working women and men of Australian small business, small business entries are up 18.71 per cent and small business exits are down 12.5 per cent.

These figures show the share of the private sector workforce under the Abbott Government has increased by 1 per cent from 43 per cent to 44 per cent.

The number of small businesses employing are up one per cent from 43 per cent to 44 per cent.

These are all indicators of positive green shoots in our economy.
