It is a great honour to be here tonight with you all, and I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.

Thanks Andrew. Thank you for all coming today. It does feel a little bit like my own electorate some forty to sixty kilometres out of Melbourne. That great southern hemisphere capital.

Thanks Nicole. It is great to be here. Thank you to each and every one of you for coming along, but more sincerely, thanks for all you do for the economy and the country.

Well, thank you Laurie, to my parliamentary colleagues, to a room full of friends of enterprise, thank you for having me here at the National Press Club.

It is a good morning. A sincerely good morning. In fact, it is a great morning for the enterprising men and women of our country.

Ladies and gentlemen, what a spectacular evening and hasn’t Andrew Daddo added so much to it? He is a natural.

I want to share with you a story of a woman with acumen and ability but not the tools to bring about the ambition that she had and a small loan enabled her to rebuild.

It is great to be back with you and I want to thank you all for all you are doing for the economy - for your enterprise and your contribution to livelihoods and prosperity for our nation.

I am back and I’m more than honoured to be back not as the Shadow Minister for Small Business but the Cabinet Minister for Small Business in the Abbott Government.
