Australians are keen users of technology
- Computer access by Australians in 1999 was 6th highest in the world (and highest in the Asia region) at 492 accesses per 1,000 persons (up from 431 accesses per 1,000 persons in 1998).
- By May 2000 over half (54 per cent) of the households in Australia, or 3.8 million households, had access to a computer at home.
