ACCC Should Investigate Labor Price Claims

The Minister for Financial Services & Regulation, Joe Hockey, today called on Labor's Lindsay Tanner to provide the ACCC with any information on price exploitation his survey has found.

"If Lindsay Tanner thinks retailers have been jacking up prices and blaming it on the New Tax System, then he should do the right thing and refer all information to the ACCC," the Minister said.

"The ACCC is the consumer watchdog, so Mr Tanner should hand over any information he has on price exploitation and let the ACCC investigate."
