New Australian Government Office for NSW Central Coast

Note

Joint media release with Lucy Wicks MP Member for Robertson and Karen McNamara MP Member for Dobell

The Commonwealth Government will open a new building on the New South Wales Central Coast, for 600 Commonwealth employees, with the Australian Taxation Office leading this initiative.

The new purpose-built facility will boost the City of Gosford and create an important link with tertiary campuses in the area.

The site will support around 600 employees, with the ATO expected to comprise half of this number.

This recognises the Government’s effort to boost investment in the region and provide jobs.

Member for Robertson, Ms Lucy Wicks MP, said the relocation of the Australian Tax Office into Gosford CBD will deliver more jobs, which will bring real economic and social benefits to Gosford and the Central Coast, driving even more activity to local cafés, local restaurants and businesses.

Member for Dobell, Ms Karen McNamara MP said this will mean further opportunity for those seeking a better lifestyle and work balance locally.
