Senator Scott Ryan departs the Parliament after 13 years of distinguished service.
He has made a valuable contribution in a number of roles including as a Minister and President of the Senate.
His knowledge of Australian politics and parliamentary procedure is only matched by his passion and respect for Australia’s political institutions.
Senator Ryan has been a significant figure in the Liberal Party’s Victorian Division and will be greatly missed.
As a valued parliamentary colleague, I have appreciated his support and friendship.
