Appointment to Companies Auditors and Liquidators Disciplinary Board

The Minister for Small Business and Assistant Treasurer, the Hon Kelly O’Dwyer MP, today announced the appointment of Ms Clare Lethlean as the part-time Deputy Chairperson of the Companies Auditors and Liquidators Disciplinary Board (CALDB) for a three-year term.

“Ms Lethlean is currently a Professional Practice Consultant at McGrathNicol and brings significant experience in insolvency law,” Minister O’Dwyer said.

“She was a member of the Swinburne University of Technology Audit & Risk Committee, and has previous experience in relation to disciplinary boards.

“The appointment of Ms Lethlean adds to the high level of skills and experience on the CALDB,” Minister O’Dwyer said.

CALDB is an independent statutory body with functions and powers conferred by the Corporations Act 2001. The primary role of CALDB is to act as an expert disciplinary panel to consider applications and conduct hearings regarding the cancellation or suspension of the registration of auditors or liquidators.
