Today, a proposed Information Standard for ticket resales has been released for consultation.
The draft Information Standard will introduce new national information disclosure requirements for ticket resale websites to make it easier for consumers to be informed when buying event tickets.
The Information Standard will require ticket resale websites to disclose the face value of tickets, and to disclose the fact that the website is not the primary ticket seller to cut down on consumer confusion.
This consultation follows a decision of the Legislative and Governance Forum on Consumer Affairs.
