I have appointed Mike Callaghan as my Acting Chief of Staff while Phil Gaetjens recovers.
Mr Callaghan is a Deputy Secretary in Treasury and has represented Australia at the International Monetary Fund.
He has previously worked as my Chief of Staff between 1999 and 2001 while Mr Gaetjens headed up the implementation of the GST.
