I have requested the Australian Statistician to consider releasing the June quarter 2003 National Accounts one day early as I am required to be outside Australia on the originally scheduled date to attend the 2003 APEC Finance Ministers' meeting in Phuket, Thailand.
The Australian Statistician has agreed to this request and indicated that he will release the June Quarter 2003 National Accounts one day earlier, on Tuesday 2 September 2003, at 11.30am.
The usual Treasurer's press conference will occur in Canberra on that day.
