Deductibility of Gifts to the Sir Earle Page Memorial Trust Public Fund

The Assistant Treasurer, Senator Rod Kemp, has announced that, from today, gifts to the value of $2 or more made to the The Sir Earle Page Memorial Trust Public Fund will be deductible for income tax purposes.

The Sir Earle Page Memorial Trust Public Fund has been established to raise funds to promote and encourage research into public policy issues with particular relevance to rural and regional Australia. The Fund will also provide general support to activities directed at furthering the economic and social interests of regional Australia.

Tax deductible gift status will assist the Fund to attract public support for its activities.

Legislation to give effect to the Government’s decision will be introduced as soon as practicable and taxpayers should ensure that they receive a receipt for their donation.
