This morning in a stunning display of hypocrisy, Senator Nick Sherry suggested that the Government was somehow holding up the tax debate.
Does Senator Sherry recall as far back as yesterday when the Labor Party moved two motions and spent one hour and forty one minutes trying to vote against the whole debate?
The Government is, and has always been, ready to move on the legislation and deliver to Australia $13 billion worth of tax cuts and a better tax system.
Debate was only adjourned because the Democrats were not ready with their amendments even after having four months to work on them.
