Deductibility of Gifts to the Australian Primary Principals Association Education Foundation

The Assistant Treasurer Senator Rod Kemp, announced that from today, gifts to the value of $2 or more made to the Australian Primary Principals Association Education Foundation will be deductible for income tax purposes.

The Australian Primary Principals Association Education Foundation (the Foundation) has been established to raise funds to assist primary and middle school principals and their communities to help students improve learning outcomes, to improve the student's quality of life and to enhance their successful contribution to Australian society and future Australian generations.

Tax deductible gift status will assist the Foundation to attract public support for its activities.

Legislation to give effect to the Government's decision will be introduced as soon as practicable and taxpayers should ensure that they receive a receipt for their donation.
