The Assistant Treasurer, Senator Rod Kemp, today welcomed a Tax Office report showing increased Superannuation Guarantee (SG) compliance.
The research showed that 99 per cent, of employers surveyed, are fully or partially compliant.
"It is particularly pleasing to see that full compliance in regional areas has increased by 11 per cent in the past year to 70 per cent," Senator Kemp said.
"Employers are providing more support for their part-time and casual employees with an 8 per cent increase to 90 per cent.
A new element in this year’s Tax Office survey was a specific look at new businesses and this showed that a pleasing 83 per cent are fully complying with their obligations to employees.
