The Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer, the Hon Ross Cameron MP, today
announced the appointment of four new members to the Takeovers Panel.
They are:
- Mr Guy Alexander, a partner at Allens Arthur Robinson, Sydney;
- Mr Graham Bradley, the Chairman of Film Finance Corporation and former Chief Executive Officer of Perpetual Trustees Australia, Sydney;
- Mr Byron Koster, a partner at Blake Dawson Waldron, Sydney; and
- Mr Norman O'Bryan SC, a barrister of the Victorian Bar, Melbourne.
"The extensive skills and experience of these appointees will help ensure that the Panel continues to provide a mechanism for peer review of takeover activity that is more efficient and expeditious than the courts", Mr Cameron said.
The appointments, effective until 7 March 2007, take the Panel's membership to 43. All are on a part-time basis.
