Appointment – part-time Australian independent member – Australia and New Zealand Electronic Invoicing Board

The Albanese Government has reappointed Ms Sarah Lalor as a part‑time independent member (Australia) to the Australia and New Zealand Electronic Invoicing Board (ANZEIB) for another one‑year period.

The ANZEIB is a non statutory advisory board representing the collective interests of the Australian and New Zealand governments in respect to the Australian and New Zealand Electronic Invoicing Arrangement. The Australian Taxation Office and the New Zealand Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment provide administrative (Secretariat) support to the ANZEIB.

The ANZEIB comprises one part‑time independent member appointed by the Australian Government; one part‑time independent member appointed by the New Zealand Government; three senior officials from the Australian Government; and three senior officials from the New Zealand Government. All board positions are non‑remunerated.

Ms Lalor is the General Manager, Term Loans and Business Financial Assistance at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. She has held several positions in the Commonwealth Bank since 2009, predominantly in Risk and Product, with her more recent roles being leadership positions across different products in business banking. Ms Lalor has been a member of the ANZEIB since 2022 and is also a member of the eInvoicing Champions Adoption Network run by the Australian Taxation Office.

Ms Lalor’s reappointment continues the Government’s strong record of identifying capable women for senior public sector roles.
