Labor’s claim this morning that a reduction in staff at the Australian Tax Office could cost the Government nearly a billion dollars in lost revenue is just another Labor lie.
Commissioner of Taxation, Chris Jordan, in Senate Estimates last month, provided clear answers that prove Labor is lying.
Senator MARK BISHOP: …Are you putting to us that the revenue collection you will be providing to government is not going to be materially affected by a reduction of almost 5,000 people over four or five years?
Mr Jordan: Yes, that is what I am putting to you.

For Labor to keep peddling this claim is a deliberate misrepresentation of the facts.
Labor need to stop lying as the Coalition works to fix their debt and deficit disaster.
