Joint Media Release with
The Hon David Bradbury MP

The Governor-General has appointed Rod Sims as the next Chairman of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) after he received the unanimous support of the States and Territories.

Mr Sims is eminently qualified to lead the ACCC, with a broad range of experience in competition advice and policy across both the private and public sectors.

He will commence a five-year term from 1 August.

We take this opportunity to again thank Graeme Samuel for his years of committed public service as Chairman of the ACCC.
