Making crypto safer for consumers
The Albanese Government is acting to ensure the regulation of crypto assets protects consumers and positions our economy to take advantage of new digital products and services.
Unsustainable business models used by some companies dealing in crypto assets have left consumers exposed.

Thanks for coming today. I wanted to update you on three developments overnight and this morning - the IMF report card on Australia, the US Fed decision on interest rates and the Reserve Bank decision on the five dollar note.
IMF backs Australia’s responsible economic plan
The International Monetary Fund has overnight strongly endorsed Australia’s responsible economic management at a time of growing uncertainty for the global economy.
The IMF recognises the Albanese Labor Government’s approach to managing the economy is responsible, makes key investments in growth and resilience, and begins the hard work of budget repair.
