Yesterday the Parliament passed the Competition and Consumer Amendment (Fair Go for Consumers and Small Business) Bill 2024. This reform, which forms part of the Albanese Government’s Better Competition election commitment, establishes a designated complaints function within the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) from July 2024.

Albanese Government funds more than $8 million for social housing boost in Perth’s southern suburbs

In a new partnership, the Albanese Labor Government and the Cook Labor Government are delivering 16 new social housing dwellings in Perth’s southern suburb of Coolbellup.

The 16 new dwellings, about 15 km south of the Perth CBD, will deliver new homes for seniors on the public housing waitlist, providing an immediate boost to Western Australia’s social housing stock.
