Appointment to the Future Fund Board

The Albanese Government has appointed Jim Craig as a member of the Future Fund Board of Guardians for a five‑year term.

This appointment will add expertise and experience to the Future Fund Board.

Mr Craig is a highly accomplished director with exceptional investment and commercial expertise.

He spent more than 20 years at Macquarie Bank holding numerous senior positions and was an Independent Director and the Chair of the Investment Committee at AustralianSuper from 2017 to 2021.

We thank outgoing board member Michael Wachtel for the significant contribution he has made to the Future Fund over the past 10 years.

We are refreshing and renewing the Future Fund to make it stronger, more successful and more sustainable into the future and the appointment of Mr Craig is an important step in that process.
