The Intergenerational Report I release today is about identifying the big shifts that will shape our economy into the future.

Cost of living is the major pressure on Australian households and the Albanese Government’s major focus, but we also know it’s important to keep an eye on the long term.

The Albanese Government’s 2023 Intergenerational Report invites us all to take a step back and consider the bigger picture.

The Intergenerational Report sets out the scale of the funding challenge ahead – what you haven't provided yet is the solution. When are we going to see a clear path to explaining how we're going to meet this huge challenge?

This week the Albanese Government will release the 2023 Intergenerational Report, providing a longer‑term view of our economy, our budget and our society over the next 40 years and helping to shine a light on the forces shaping our future.

The Albanese Government is undertaking a review of competition policy settings to help build a more dynamic and productive economy.

Greater competition is critical for lifting dynamism, productivity and wages growth, putting downward pressure on prices and delivering more choice for Australians dealing with cost-of-living pressures.
