Treasurer, thanks for joining us. A small uptick in the unemployment figures. What do you make of it?
JIM CHALMERS:
Solid wages growth in June quarter
New figures today confirm solid wages growth under the Albanese Labor Government.
The Wage Price Index rose 0.8 per cent in the June quarter, to be 3.6 per cent higher through the year, according to data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

The Albanese Government will oversee the biggest crackdown on tax adviser misconduct in Australian history.
The PwC scandal exposed severe shortcomings in our regulatory frameworks that were largely ignored by the Coalition, and today we’re taking significant steps to clean up the mess.
