Support for small businesses to act on cyber this festive season

New appointments to Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute
The Albanese Government has appointed Dr Anthony Richards and Ms Jennifer Samms as part‑time Independent Directors to the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI) each for a four‑year period.

Higher foreign investment fees for housing
The Albanese Government will adjust the foreign investment framework to help boost Australia’s housing stock and provide more homes for Australians.
Higher fees for the purchase of established homes, increased penalties for those that leave properties vacant, and strengthened compliance activity will help ensure foreign investment in residential property is in our national interest.
Housing Australia Investment Mandate set to unlock more homes
The Albanese Government is today releasing an updated Investment Mandate for Housing Australia, helping to unlock more social and affordable rental homes across the country.
Festive season a perfect time to shop small and shop local
Australians are being encouraged to shop local this festive season to support small businesses across the country.
The Minister for Small Business, Julie Collins, has used the last day of Parliament for 2023 to call on Australians to back our small businesses this festive season.
