New PC inquiries on the five pillars of productivity
The Albanese Government has formally tasked the Productivity Commission today with five new inquiries focused on identifying ways to materially boost Australia’s productivity.
Making our economy more productive is all about lifting incomes and living standards and creating more opportunities for more people in more parts of our country.

New uni study hub model launches in Longreach
Today the Treasurer and Assistant Minister for Education opened a new Regional University Study Hub in Longreach, funded by the Albanese Labor Government.
This is all about helping more young people get a great education closer to home, so they can secure a well‑paid and rewarding job and get ahead.

Commonwealth Bank to establish operations in Nauru
The Albanese Government welcomes the Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s commitment to establish banking operations in Nauru in 2025.
This is good for the people of Nauru and good for safety, security and stability in our region.
Logan youth organisation receives federal funding boost to support young people
The Albanese Labor Government is investing in Youth Insearch Logan to help young people stay connected to their community, school or workplace.
The youth foundation was awarded a $360,000 grant under the Government’s Strong and Resilient Communities (SARC) Activity – Inclusive Communities grants program.
