The Albanese Government welcomes the Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s commitment to establish banking operations in Nauru in 2025.

This is good for the people of Nauru and good for safety, security and stability in our region.

The Albanese Government has reappointed 24 members to the Financial Services and Credit Panel (FSCP) for a three‑year period beginning on 1 January 2025.

The fee for withdrawing cash for some customers over the counter or at an Australia Post site which then they backflipped on yesterday while they consult with the affected customers. Are you urging the bank to can the fee forever?

The Albanese Government is working with industry and regulators to develop a fit for purpose digital asset regulatory regime, to build a more dynamic and competitive economy.

Our Government takes the crypto industry seriously and we know that blockchain and digital assets present big opportunities for our economy, our financial sector and innovation.
